Our Attorney
Our firm's founder, Steven M. Ratner, decided to focus exclusively on the practice of estate law after the life savings of a family member were consumed by nursing home expenses. As a result of this experience and his Medi-Cal planning work, Mr. Ratner understands the fears of people concerning their estate assets. He uses the law to help our clients protect those assets and provide for their families.
Steven M. Ratner graduated first in his class at University of Oregon School of Law. He also earned an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University where he was a Student Editor of the Tax Law Review and the recipient of the Harry J. Rudnick Memorial Award.
Steven M. Ratner is certified in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Ratner is committed to helping the elderly and disabled live dignified and comfortable lives. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Meals-on-Wheels of Greater San Diego program and the Seacrest Village Retirement Communities.
